YouTube TV should be feeling a crunch from its latest worth increase that raised the streaming TV service’s month-to-month subscription to $50. For “limited time only,” YouTube TV is offering a two-week free trial as an alternative of the same old one-week duration. Droid Life noticed the longer-than-usual free trial. Sadly (but predictably), that is just for new customers and won do you much good should you’ve already tried and canceled YouTube TV.
The effective print reveals that this promo will run from today till August 14th. There is a selection of different YouTube TV trial “deals” taking place — particularly if you’re a Verizon Wireless or home internet buyer. However, again, anybody who has already used up their YouTube TV free trial can’t redeem any of those. The service is tied to your Google account, so I’m undecided it’d be worth the trouble of organizing a new email for an additional free run.
YouTube TV remains my favorite of the live TV streaming services, but at $49.99 monthly it’s really approaching the ceiling that I’m willing to pay. Hopefully, it doesn’t rise any higher in the near future.
The newest value increase happened back in April when YouTube TV added Discovery’s channels. However, some prospects had been angry that they had been hit with a substantial worth hike for channels that they won’t even care about. Yep, that sounds loads just like the complaints that have been lobbed at cable firms for years.
